Do I need a refer­ral to see the optometrist?

No, you do not require a refer­ral to see an optometrist. All you need to do is call or come in and make an appoint­ment and our optometrists will be more then happy to see you.

 

Do we test children’s eyes?

Yes, we test and have expe­ri­ence in test­ing chil­dren of all ages, from 3 month old babies and onwards. We also have a wide range of frames for chil­dren includ­ing brands such as: Bar­bie, X-Games, Hello Kitty, Fred Bare.

 

How much does an eye exam­i­na­tion cost?

Most rou­tine eye exam­i­na­tions are bulk billed onto your Medicare card, mean­ing you have to pay noth­ing out of your pocket.

 

Do we do pri­vate health fund rebates?

Yes, we claim all your pri­vate health fund rebates on site in our store elec­tron­i­cally via the HICAPS machine. So when you pur­chase a pair of spec­ta­cles, we claim it from your health fund on site so you only have to pay the dif­fer­ence, rather than the full amount. It also saves you the has­sle of hav­ing to take your receipt to your pri­vate health fund provider’s office and claim­ing it manually.  

 

Do we check for Mac­u­lar Degen­er­a­tion and Glaucoma?

Yes, our con­sult­ing room offers the lat­est tech­nol­ogy in detec­tion of Mac­u­lar Degen­er­a­tion and Glaucoma.

 

How often should I have my eyes tested?

It is rec­om­mended that you should have your eyes tested every 2 years or sooner if you feel there has been a change or a problem.
